Job summary

Air Liquide Canada is hiring a P&D Driver to provide safe, efficient pick-up and delivery of cylinder gases and welding supplies. The role includes some yard and warehouse work and supports safety and quality objectives.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Class 3 license with air brakes, have at least 2 years of delivery experience, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This hourly position includes cost of living allowances and northern living allowances where applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 license with air brakes and a clean abstract.
• Minimum 2 years in delivery industry.
• Customer service experience required.
• Able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous delivery of cylinder gases and welding supplies.
• Picks up empty cylinders as required.
• Loads and unloads trucks with team members and ensures proper loading per regulations.
• Complete warehouse and yard work as required.
• Plan daily loads, drive to sites, pick up empties, then offload on return.
• Maintain truck and equipment appearance and safety.

The main objective and purpose of this position consist in providing safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous pick-up and delivery service for gases, while promoting ALC’s quality and safety objectives. There is also some yard and warehouse work as part of this role.

Pay range - $26.07 - $ $32.58 / hourly rate + Cost of living allowance + Northern Living Allowance

Key responsibilities

• Provides prompt and courteous delivery of cylinder gases and/or welding supplies.
• Picks up empty cylinders as required.
• Loads and unloads trucks with other team members and ensures trucks are loaded efficiently and in accordance with regulations.
• Complete warehouse and yard work as required.
• Pick your own load of cylinders, plan out your day based on items dispatched for you, drive to required sites, pick up empties then offload trucks upon return.
• Ensures that maintenance and general appearance of the truck and all equipment used in the performance of his/her duties are properly ___________________

• Valid class 3 license with air Brakes with a clean driver's abstract
• A minimum of 2 years experience in the delivery industry
• Customer service experience
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift Certification
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification
