Job summary

Fairmont Banff Springs is seeking an Event Set-Up Supervisor to join the team in the scenic Banff area. Ideal candidates will assist in creating memorable events by managing their team and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

The position offers a starting wage of $27.86 per hour with multiple employee benefits including subsidized accommodation, complimentary meals, and a comprehensive benefits package after six months of service.

Qualifications

• Previous guest service experience is an asset.
• Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with updated Driver’s Abstract is required.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and carrying/pulling over 20 lbs.
• Able to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Build daily task lists, motivate your team, and work alongside them.
• Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms efficiently and safely.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas.
• Complete office and clerical duties to assist with planning.
• Provide consistent and professional service following all policies.

Starting Rate: $27.86 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $30.56

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Event Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Build daily task lists, motivate your team, and work alongside them to ensure all event deadlines are met.
• Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms efficiently and safely, following event orders as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas; report any unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Complete office and clerical duties to assist with planning and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Provide consistent, professional, and friendly service while following all policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications
