Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Whistler is seeking an Overnight Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of hotel facilities during the night. Responsibilities span guest room upkeep to maintaining back-of-house spaces and safety compliance.

Starting rate of pay is $29.90 per hour, with increases at 6 months and after 3 years to $38.00. This is a full-time, permanent role with subsidized staff accommodation and meals, plus access to the Employee Travel Program.

Qualifications

• Experience in a property maintenance position with mechanical knowledge.
• Experience using hand and power tools to perform repairs.
• Ability to work overnight and respond to emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety compliance through inspections of rooms and public areas.
• Maintain health club facilities including pools and hot tubs.
• On-call as part of the hotel overnight Emergency Response Team.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to uphold preventative upkeep of facilities.

Overnight Maintenance Technician

Our Overnight Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth running of the hotel facilities throughout the evening, with responsibilities ranging from maintaining guest rooms, to ensuring colleague back spaces are in good condition.

Starting Rate of Pay:$29.90 per hour

This is a full-time, permanent role.

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $38.00.

Job Duties Include:

• Ensure health and safety compliance via inspections and restoration of property facilities and equipment, throughout bothguest rooms and public areas
• Maintenance of health club facilities including hot tubs and pools
• On-call as part of the hotelovernight Emergency Response Team
• Work alongside hotel departments to ensure preventative measures are in place to maintainupkeep of hotel facilities

Qualifications

• Experience in a property maintenance position, with working knowledge of mechanical functions
