Job summary

Irving Oil is seeking an Overnight Loadbuilder to optimize asset, resource and product utilization, building efficient and cost-effective loads for our Tractor Trailer team. The role focuses on meeting KPI targets for safety, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction while handling strategic planning, product specification changes, and reporting discrepancies.

This on-site position at our Crown Street location in Saint John, NB requires working 12-hour shifts on a rotational schedule and offers

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience in a customer service environment required.
• 3-5 years related experience.
• Previous exposure to the transportation industry would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Gather and respond to requests for information for managers, drivers and customers.
• Take ownership and accountability until a problem is resolved.
• Apply knowledge of distribution policies and procedures.
• Make difficult, time-sensitive decisions to support business objectives and customer needs.
• Build loads for trucks and review driver completions.
• Bring forward any concerns to managers.
• Forecast seasonal demands and resources.
• Produce outcomes that demonstrate an understanding of financial impacts.

Job description

As an Overnight Loadbuilder you will optimize asset, resource and product utilization within established policies and procedures to build efficient and cost-effective loads for our Tractor Trailer team. Your goal will be to meet KPI targets on safety, on-time delivery and retention targets, with customer satisfaction & service at the forefront. Your success will be dependent on your ability to handle strategic planning, making product specification changes, meeting demand during supply outages, as well as recording and reporting discrepancies within the business.

Please note: This position requires your ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotational schedule.

The expected salary range for this position is $54,380 - $67,975. Placement within range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
