Objective of Position

You rapidly build trust with your customers and provide solutions to meet their needs. You focus on new and existing customers to drive business and increase revenue. You are confident, outgoing, and self-driven, working with a team of sales reps, managers, and support staff to provide information, simplify technical details, and offer support and value to our customers.

Accountabilities
  • Achieve maximum market penetration by strategically managing territory.
  • Collaborate with peers to build pipelines and foster close relationships with sales support teams within and outside the organization.
  • Provide prospects and existing customers with in-person or virtual product consultations, effectively communicating features and benefits.
  • Regularly call existing customers and prospect for new business.
  • Execute territory route planning with regular cycles.
  • Read, interpret, and take-off blueprints; use electronic software to quote, sell, and order products.
  • Promote Durabuilt’s product line and stay informed about industry news.
  • Enter opportunities into CRM systems and coordinate with scheduling and installation teams.
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, RFIs, RFQs, and specification acceptance requests.
  • Develop long-term relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and clients.
  • Represent Durabuilt at events and professional groups.
  • Maintain and expand the prospect and client database.
  • Foster ongoing customer relationships throughout the sales cycle and post-installation.
  • Review shop drawings, noting revisions and approvals.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and close-out procedures.
  • Forecast sales and report progress regularly.
  • Share insights and challenges during sales meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience / Capabilities
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience, with B2B focus.
  • Strategic territory management and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience in construction, building materials, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of windows, doors, and glazing is an asset.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, technical documentation, and CRM tools.
  • Strong relationship-building and prospecting skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and cultures.
  • Competitive, enthusiastic about growth, and capable of managing long sales cycles.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and customer-focused.
Education
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions
  • Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Primarily office environment with travel (75%) to meet clients and attend meetings.
  • Use of standard office equipment.
  • Pressure to meet targets within tight timelines.
