Job summary

Recycle City is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in Hamilton, ON. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business with commercial and industrial clients to leverage our waste and recycling services.

You will conduct in-person and virtual presentations, visit client sites, and tailor solutions to sustainability goals, while growing accounts and meeting sales targets. A valid driver’s license and local travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in delivering sales presentations and communicating value propositions.
• Proven ability to build long-term client relationships and ensure high service levels.
• Experience in prospecting, lead generation, and closing sales.
• Interest or knowledge in waste management is a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally and work in a hybrid role.

What is the Role?

This full-time Outside Sales Representative role is hybrid, based in Hamilton, ON with some work-from-home flexibility. The Outside Sales Representative will identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on commercial and industrial clients that can benefit from Recycle City’s waste and recycling services. Daily activities include:

• Conducting in-person and virtual sales presentations, visiting client sites, and providing tailored recommendations based on each customer’s operational needs and sustainability goals.
• Build and foster long-term relationships, managing accounts, and ensuring a high level of customer service and responsiveness.
• Prospect and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, canvassing, and strategic outreach within the assigned territory.
• Develop a thorough understanding of prospective customers' operations, challenges, and service needs to deliver tailored solutions and proposals.
• Prepare and present quotations, negotiate service agreements, and close new business opportunities while meeting or exceeding established sales targets.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Sales Presentations and Communication to clearly explain services and value propositions.
• Demonstrated ability in Relationship Building and Customer Service to support long-term client partnerships.
• Experience in New Business Development, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing sales.
• Knowledge of or interest in waste management, recycling, or environmental services is an asset.
• Comfort working in a hybrid role, with regular in-person client visits in Hamilton and remote administrative work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel to client sites.

What Recycle City Can Offer

• Base salary range of $50 to 120k annually + monthly uncapped commission
