Job description

Outside Sales Representative for NovaTex Nonwoven plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and building long-term client relationships. This role combines technical expertise in needlepunch products with strategic sales skills to meet the needs of diverse industries (e.g., automotive, filtration, geotextiles, construction).

Responsibilities

  1. Client Acquisition & Business Development
  2. Generate leads through cold calls, trade shows, industry events, and digital outreach.
  3. Travel to client factories, mills, and job sites as needed.
  4. Account Management & Relationship Building
  5. Technical Expertise & Product Knowledge
  6. Achieve or exceed quarterly/annual sales quotas for volume, revenue, and profitability.
  7. Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and client interactions.
  8. Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends for management review.

Qualifications

  1. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing.
  2. 3–5+ years of proven success in B2B sales, preferably in manufacturing, textiles, nonwovens, or industrial materials.
  3. Experience selling technical products to industries such as automotive, construction, filtration, or geotextiles.
  4. Track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas and managing key accounts.
  5. Strong understanding of nonwoven manufacturing processes (e.g., needlepunch, carding, bonding).
  6. Familiarity with material properties (fiber types, weight, tensile strength) and their applications in end-use markets.
  7. Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards (ISO, ASTM), and client requirements.
