About the Team

On the Outside Account Management team, we develop DoorDash partners to capture engagement, growth, and performance on our platform. We establish success and build plans to reach new heights while accommodating the variable needs of our partners.

About the Role

Strategic Partner Managers lead relationships with merchant partners on an ongoing basis. You will upsell incremental services to our existing business owners, help their businesses accelerate, hold periodic business check-ins, improve merchant operations, troubleshoot product-related bugs, recommend marketing strategies, and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention. You will report to the Manager, Outside Account Management on our Strategic Partner Management team.

  • Manage merchant relationships across your book of business while working towards the team's goals.
  • Present quarterly business reviews highlighting wins and opportunities for your merchant accounts.
  • Minimize churn and identify expansion opportunities using DoorDash products.
  • Use data to test and improve daily operational processes for merchant efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure merchants have an optimal platform experience.
We’re excited about you because…
  • You have 4+ years of experience in a client-facing sales or account management role, or related experience.
  • You empathize with customer needs and adapt strategies to meet their goals, increasing satisfaction, retention, and product adoption.
  • You are a thoughtful, merchant-first thinker capable of creating data-driven recommendations using Excel and Google Sheets.
  • You navigate sales tools with ease (e.g., Salesforce, Sales Navigator).
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus but not required.
Compensation

Actual compensation will be based on skills, experience, and location. The base salary ranges from $72,800 to $104,000 CAD, with total on-target earnings (including commissions) from $91,000 to $130,000 CAD.
