Outdoor Maintenance Worker (Landscaping/Lawn Care)

Operations Temp Ottawa, ON $17.92 CAD per hour

PURPOSE STATEMENT: The role of the Building Maintenance Worker is to support the Property Management team in maintaining our buildings and outdoor spaces, ensuring they are clean, functional, and welcoming for all events, programs, and services. This role requires a proactive approach aligned with Lifecentre's mission, vision, and values, and a commitment to community growth and service.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Self-motivated, able to lead and work effectively in a team
• Strong communication skills to convey vision with passion and clarity
• Willingness to learn new programs and procedures as needed

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to prioritize tasks and anticipate the needs of the facilities
• Flexibility, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
• Willingness to perform cleaning, maintenance, and landscaping tasks
• Ability to lift and move heavy items
• Having a vehicle is considered an asset

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary duties include general building and outdoor maintenance, such as:

• Landscaping (mowing lawns, maintaining flowerbeds and parking lot)
• Cleaning and sanitizing rooms, windows, and washrooms
• Emptying recycling and trash receptacles
• Setting up rooms and furniture, moving and assembling equipment
• Locking up the building after events and maintaining security
• Performing other related tasks as directed by the Lead Property Manager
