Job summary

AAA Field Services LTD in Fort St John, BC, is seeking an Outside Fire Technician to join our team. The role focuses on inspecting and servicing life safety equipment and coordinating with customers to ensure readiness for projects.

Primary duties include inspections, testing, documentation, inventory management, and providing estimates. This is a full-time position with on-call rotations and opportunities for growth within safety services and training.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting life safety equipment (fire extinguishers, gas detectors, breathing air, fall arrest gear).
• Strong communication with customers and team.
• Ability to manage inventory and complete service records.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and service life safety equipment (extinguishers, detectors, breathing air, fall arrest, fall protection).
• Perform fit testing, hydrostatic testing, oxygen filling, and related tasks as needed.
• Document service records, process work orders and invoices, and prepare goods for pickup.
• Maintain inventory levels and equipment in work areas; coordinate with purchasing.
• Assist with store shifts, shipping/receiving, and participate in on-call and Saturday rotations.
