Job summary

Sysco Edmonton is seeking a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor to manage all activities on the night shift, overseeing the selection, replenishment, and assembly of products to ensure on-time departures.

You will coach colleagues, monitor productivity, and ensure safety compliance with company programs. Experience with systems like SWMS, Workday, CANVAS is an asset; role also involves scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in logistics/warehouse roles
  • 5+ years preferred in logistics/warehouse roles
  • Preferred warehouse supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma required
  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics or Operations preferred
  • Knowledge of systems such as SWMS, Workday, Synetellic, CANVAS, Intelex, Labour standard system
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel

Responsibilities

  • Support warehouse team with technology systems (RF scanners, printers, tablets)
  • Provide coaching and training to colleagues to meet productivity goals
  • Conduct material handling training
  • Ensure safety compliance with company programs and regulations
  • Complete daily safety measures, warehouse inspections, and audits
  • Prepare work and vacation schedules
  • Distribute and analyze productivity/incentive programs
  • Monitor and improve productivity
  • Manage selection, replenishment, assembly, and loading of products
  • Generate productivity reports and monitor indirect time
  • Assist in annual warehouse budget preparation and weekly budget monitoring
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction action plans
  • Ensure timecard accuracy and scheduling of direct reports
  • Understand CBA and participate in grievance/arbitration as applicable
  • Comply with Sysco Food Safety policies
  • Promote safe operations and environmental responsibility
  • Foster an inclusive culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned

JOB DESCRIPTION

This roleis responsible formanaging all activities on the night shift with the primary responsibility of managing the selection functionutilizingengineeredlabourstandards and ensuring accuracy of all orders picked and on-timedepartures.

RoleResponsibilities:
  • Support warehouse team members with technology systems (Motorola RF scanners, Zebra printers,tabletsand CANVAS)

  • Provide ongoing coaching, training and encouragement to allcolleagues and support in meeting productivity goals (Engineered Labour Standards)

  • Conduct Material Handling Training forcolleagues

  • Ensure safety compliancein accordance withall company safety programs and industry regulations/legislation.

  • Complete daily proactive safety measures warehouse inspections, coach cards,observationsand facility audits

  • Prepare work schedules including vacations schedules

  • Distribute,analyzeand work with team members on incentive program

  • Monitor and improve overall productivity

  • Support andcomply withall company policies and procedures

  • Manage all aspects of selection, replenishment, assembly of products and loadingin a timely manner

  • Generate/analyze productivity reports

  • Manage/Identify barriers that cause indirect time

  • Record indirect (work delays) in SWMS (warehouse management system)

  • Assist Warehouse Manager in preparation of annual warehouse budget andmonitorbudget on a weekly basis

  • Develop and implement cost reduction action plans

  • Accountable for the accuracy of timecards,approvalsand scheduling of direct reports

  • If applicable, understand and interpret the CBA,participatein grievance, mediation, arbitration procedures at unionized facilities

  • Complies withSysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.

  • Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with minimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.

  • Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable tocomply withEHS programs, policies, and requirements.

  • Enable, champion,and embrace an inclusive culture

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Logistics/Warehouse role

  • Preferred 5 Years’ experience in Logistics/Warehouse role

  • Preferred warehouse supervisory experience

  • High School Diplomarequired

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics and or Operations preferred

  • Knowledge of systems would be considered an asset: SWMS,Workday,Synetellic, CANVAS, Intelex,labourstandard system

  • Basicproficiencyin MS Word, MS Excel
