Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking an Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist Assistant for a temporary 11-month part-time role at our General Site. You will carry out prescribed rehabilitation duties under the supervision of a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities include collaborating within an interdisciplinary team, maintaining high professional standards, and delivering patient education while supporting diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant program or equivalent.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relating to rehabilitation.
• Valid CPR training.
• Able to function as an integral component of an interdisciplinary team.
• Able to work under minimal supervision accepting responsibility and accountability as assigned.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills including skills in patient teaching.
• Experience working with people of various ethno-cultural groups is an asset.
• Demonstrated physical fitness to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Strong work ethic and commitment is required.
• Demonstrated high standards of work outputs.
• Highly punctual.
• Demonstrated professionalism and reliability.
