Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking a Physiotherapist for the Centenary Site and across SHN hospitals. The successful candidate will perform comprehensive assessments, develop self-care plans, and contribute to program evaluation within an inter-professional team.

The role requires Ontario licensure, BLS, and experience with patients with multiple co-morbidities. Excellent communication, teamwork, and confidentiality are essential, with flexibility across SHN’s sites and shifts.

Qualifications

• Registration and licensed to practice (in good standing) with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario.
• Valid BLS Certification.
• Experience with clients with multiple co-morbidities and with neurologic/orthopaedic impairments is an asset.
• Proven ability to plan and recommend continued self-care programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well within an inter-professional team.
• Initiative and strict confidentiality.
• Liability insurance confirmed.
• Demonstrates SHN values and commitment to a healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and recommendations to maximize safety and function for patient recovery.
• Participate in program development, evaluation and regular inter-professional meetings.
• Liaise with community-based providers and families, and participate in patient/family conferences as needed.
• Support departmental needs and adapt to scheduling across SHN hospital sites.
