Job summary

CMHC is seeking a Senior Specialist in Compliance and Risk Governance to strengthen governance and OSFI collaboration across the organization. The role focuses on interpreting OSFI expectations, aligning practices, and supporting remediation initiatives with CMHC business lines.

You will work with stakeholders to ensure governance processes, reporting, and decision-making reflect sound risk management and three-lines-of-defence principles, contributing to CMHC's strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in compliance and risk governance, with OSFI exposure.
• Understands industry standards, risk management, and governance frameworks.
• Strong written and oral communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with OSFI, coordinating with business lines and oversight functions.
• Provide guidance on OSFI regulatory expectations and internal governance frameworks.
• Oversee second-line activities, identify gaps, and support policy enhancements.
• Lead OSFI regulatory compliance and risk governance review cycles across three lines of defence.
• Monitor OSFI developments and advise senior leadership on actions.
• Track commitments and provide consolidated reporting to senior management and the Board.
