Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CP3 Orthopaedics unit in a talent pool. You will deliver high-quality care to patients with hip fractures, spine and joint replacement needs in a busy orthopaedic service within the Total Joint Network.

You will support postoperative care, IV therapy, and assessments, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across SHN's General and Birchmount sites.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS.
• Two years experience in Acute Medical Nursing or related clinical placement for new graduates.
• Nursing skills in IV therapy, PCA pump, intrathecal morphine, epidural infusions, postoperative assessment.
• Patient assessment and health promotion/teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patients in a multi-service environment.
• Care for patients with fractured hips, post-operative orthopedic needs, and joint replacements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting.
