Job summary

Backwoods Security Services in Calgary, AB, is seeking an experienced Full-time Security Guard for an industrial site 45 minutes SE of Calgary. The role requires patrolling, access control, incident reporting, and teamwork on night shifts.

Applicants must hold an Alberta Security License and CSTS2020, with 1 year of industrial security experience and a valid Class 5 driver's license. Submit to join a growing, Indigenous-owned team serving Western Canada.

Qualifications

• Class 5 Driver's License with no more than 6 demerits (required)
• Standard First Aid with CPR (preferred)
• CSTS2020 (required)
• H2S Awareness (preferred)
• Objectivity, emotional control and dependability
• Able to follow complex instructions, both written and verbal
• Knowledgeable about security operations and procedures
• Site orientations as needed and requested

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by patrolling and monitoring premises
• Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment and access points
• Access Control: Permit authorized persons entry to site when required
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain if necessary
• Control traffic by directing drivers
• Complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA's) and Daily Occurrence Reports (DOR's) and Incident Reports (IR's) when required
• Inspect Backwoods vehicles, notify Field Manager when service is required
• Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
• Arrive on time for shift. If you know you will be unable to fulfill your duties, you must communicate with the on-call supervisor ahead of time
• Able to work efficiently and effectively both as part of a team or individually

Backwoods Security Services is currently seeking an experienced Security Guard for a team of guards at an Industrial Facility 45 minutes SE of Calgary, AB. CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO CALGARY AND IMMEDIATE SURROUNDING AREA.

The Role:
