Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one Organizational Change Manager (ERP Systems – Intermediate) to join the Service Delivery team at the Government of Alberta.

This contract role is onsite in Edmonton, Alberta, with 7.25 hours daily and a 12‑month term, extendable to 18 months. You will develop and implement change management content, communications, training, and adoption strategies for the 1GX project.

Qualifications

  • University graduation in a related field (such as Commerce, Communications) plus four (4) years progressively responsible related experience OR diploma in a related field and a minimum six (6) years of progressively responsible work experience; equivalency considered.
  • Change management methodologies and principles (3+ years).
  • Experience conducting stakeholder analysis and change readiness assessments through workshops, focus groups, and surveys (3+ years).
  • Experience developing and implementing effective change plans, communication plans, training plans, and resistance management plans (3+ years).
  • Experience with ERP systems change management (3+ years) and working as Change Manager on large complex custom software projects (3+ years).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project sponsors, project teams, operational teams, vendors, cross-functional teams, and 1GX Change Network to ensure all project activities are completed.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager in the development of project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, develop and monitor work plans for completion of tasks.
  • Assist with risk management and issues management.
  • Deliver presentations on change management for various levels of the organization (Executive, Branch).
  • Plan and facilitate meetings with management and other stakeholders as required.
  • Conduct stakeholder identification and stakeholder analysis; assess and manage key stakeholders.

WORK MODEL: The successful contractor(s) will work onsite at the Terrace Building – 9515 – 107 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to apply (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident). Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 with a 1 hour lunch break Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays.

Scope:
The Change Management Specialist works with internal groups to develop and deliver change strategies and supporting content that enable impacted stakeholders to successfully transition from their current state to a future state. This role supports both new project implementations and the ongoing sustainment, enhancement, and optimization of existing 1GX operations and functionalities.

Reporting to the Manager, 1GX Business Excellence – Communications, OCM, and Training, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of change management and communication deliverables that drive effective adoption, sustained use, and continuous improvement of the 1GX solution across the Government of Alberta.

The Change Management Specialist works with internal groups and creates strategies and content to effectively manage change deliverables that will enable impacted stakeholders to successfully transition from their current state to the future state. Reporting to the Reporting to the Manager, 1GX Business Excellence – Communications, OCM, and Training, this position is responsible for development and implementation of change management and communication activities and deliverables

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
  • Collaborate with project sponsors, project teams, operational teams, vendors, cross-functional teams, and 1GX Change Network to ensure all project activities are completed.

  • Assess and manage key stakeholders.
  • Conduct gap analysis, change impact analysis.
  • Develop and implement effective change strategies and plans.
  • Develop and implement effective communication plans.
  • Develop communication materials.
  • Develop and implement resistance management plans.
  • Ensure information is communicated to impacted audiences throughout the duration of the project/program.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
  • Identify risks and issues relating to change management functions.
  • Conduct business and stakeholder readiness assessments.
  • Proactively engage and lead relevant stakeholder engagement in support of ongoing 1GX adoption and sustainment.
  • Provide specialized advice and support to ensure the consistent and effective application of change management methodology, tools, and approaches.
  • Leverage approved digital, collaboration, and AI-enabled tools, where appropriate, to support change analysis, content development, stakeholder engagement, communications, and reporting activities, in alignment with Government of Alberta policies and standards.
  • Ensure new technology solutions or applications are rolled out successfully and in a sustainable way.
  • Writing compelling copy to create engaging communications.
  • Understand the role of communication in change management – working to reposition organizational change and end user needs and expectations.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
  • University graduation in a related field (such as Commerce, Communications) plus four (4) years progressively responsible related experience OR diploma in a related field and a minimum six (6) years of progressively responsible work experience; or equivalent as described. Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: – 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or – 1 year of experience for 1 year of education. – Focus/Major Degree or diploma in Commerce, Communications, or related area.

  • Experience working as Change Manager on large complex custom software application development project. (3 years+)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Demonstrated experience in consultation, facilitation, interpersonal, and relationship management skills. (3 years+)
  • Work experience creating and using advanced Excel skills such as Pivot table, VLOOKUP etc. (3 years+)
  • Experience creating PowerPoint presentations. (3 years+)
  • Experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels. (3 years+)
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contract requirements, deliverables, and performance tracking. (3 years+)

  • Experience utilizing AI Productivity Tools (e.g., Co-Pilot, Gemini, NotebookLM) to enhance content development and workflow efficiency. (1 years+)
  • Experience with Digital Adoption Tools (e.g., WalkMe) for creating in-application guidance and support. (1 years+)
  • Experience with GoA structure and relevant client ministry functions, reporting relationships, and business application processes. (2 years+)
  • Experience with risk management and issues management. (3 years+)
  • Experience working in or for the public sector. (1 years+)
  • Duration – Experience working with MS Project tools. (3 years+)
  • Government business plan goals, strategies, and priorities associated with corporate 1GX applications or similar enterprise systems (Oracle, SAP) and strategic roadmap. (1 years+)
  • Negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills. (3 years+)
  • Stakeholder engagement and working with the stakeholder community, clients, partners, and service providers affected by ERP applications, including relevant organizations, committees, advisory groups, and representatives. (3 years+)
  • Certification with one of the following Change Management certification or accreditation (e.g., Prosci, APMG, CMI or similar) from a recognized issuing body. (Yes or No)
