Job summary

Puritylife – Grocery Division in Burnaby seeks a Buyer to maintain inventory levels and manage replenishment using ERP systems. You will set purchasing quantities, communicate with vendors, and ensure on-time stock delivery while supporting promotional activities and new listings.

The role emphasizes strong Excel skills, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with replenishment purchasing and inventory control
• Education: Purchasing/Inventory/Supply Chain diploma or equivalent
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities

Responsibilities

• Maintain optimal inventory levels across Dry, Cooler, and Frozen categories
• Create purchase orders in the ERP system
• Achieve high service levels while managing stock and avoid shortages
• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to move excess stock before shelf-life
• Manage vendor/broker communications and resolve stock/price issues
• Forecast demand and determine best ordering strategy
• Support promotions and listings changes with accurate data and timing
• Duties to assist Purchasing Manager and cover related tasks
