Job summary

MAD Elevator Inc. in Mississauga, ON is hiring an Order Picker to support Production by pulling parts, packing, stocking, and maintaining accurate stock records. You will use a handheld tablet, perform cycle counts, and ensure health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 1 year in stockroom/work, and basic computer skills with ERP experience, and can lift up to 35 lbs. This is a full-time, hourly role with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• At least 1 year of stockroom and warehouse experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and follow procedures.
• At least 1 year of computer experience with ERP/computer applications.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs; stand/walk for long periods; bending and reaching.
• Forklift experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pull parts as directed and coordinate with Picking Lead for jobs released to Production.
• Pack and unpack items to stock and organize on shelves in the stockroom.
• Restock parts and maintain stockroom documents.
• Use handheld tablet to ensure accuracy of items picked.
• Communicate material issues to Inventory Specialist.
• Perform transactions and post material in System as required.
• Organize and store material neatly.
• Perform cycle counts as needed.
• Assist Production at the window when required.
• Other duties as required.

Our New Order Picker will be responsible for picking Job Orders in a timely fashion and help serve Production through the Picking Window for anything they might need.

The ideal candidate should be well-organized, highly detailed-oriented, and demonstrates good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

What you will do in the role:

• Accurately pull parts as directed and coordinate with Picking Lead for jobs released to Production.

• Able to lift up-to 35lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

What you bring to the role:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• At least 1 years of experience in stockroom and warehouse
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to prioritize and follow procedures
• At least 1 year of computer experience and aptitude for ERP/ computer applications
• Physical requirements: Able to lift and move up to 35lbs, frequent walking and standing for long periods, bending and reaching
• Forklift experience would be considered an asset

This position is located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON. Hours are typically Mondays to Thursdays from 7:00am to 4:30pm, and Fridays from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Pay: $20.00

This is a Full-time, Hourly position.
