Our New R&D Mechanical Designer:

As a R&D Mechanical Designer, you will design and develop the mechanical aspects of new products and initiatives (interiors, fixtures, shell systems, enclosures, brackets, structural components, and electromechanical assemblies) from concept through to production‑ready design. Working within the R&D team, you will translate product requirements into robust models, detailed drawings, and validated prototypes. You will collaborate closely with electrical, firmware, and production teams, and provide design support across the organization including sales, marketing, and other departments to bring new products to market.

  • Produce accurate 3D models, detailed drawings, and bills of materials with low to zero drawing errors.
  • Conduct prototype builds and basic assembly of golden samples, including design validation and testing.
  • Provide technical input to support cost estimates, product pricing, and technical proposals.
  • Support product certification and compliance activities (e.g., ETL/Intertek, CSA, ASME A17.1/B44) where required.
Production Support
  • Provide hands‑on technical support to the manufacturing production team.
  • Support the production team on problem solving, corrective actions, product improvement, and new product development.
  • Develop assembly procedures, work instructions, and supporting technical documentation.

  • Participate in cross-functional design reviews and coordinate design decisions with electrical, firmware, and production teams.
  • Provide design support to other departments, including sales and marketing. For example, technical input for proposals, product information, and sales and marketing materials.
