Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Test Automation Developer for a contract role based in Toronto, ON. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing while collaborating with Java developers, product owners, and analysts to ensure thorough coverage.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in test automation, strong programming skills (Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript), and experience with Selenium, Appium, JUnit, and TestNG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in test automation development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Strong experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues to resolution.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the testing process.
• Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior test automation engineers.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyze test results, generate test reports, and provide insights to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with best practices and standards in software testing and quality assurance.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases and report results.
