Job description

Our growing team is seeking a dedicated Optician/Optical Associate for a full-time position at Individual Eyes in Richmond Hill.

Responsibilities:

1. Greeting patients in person, by telephone, or online
2. Booking and scheduling appointments
3. Making recall calls and cold calls to book appointments
4. Pretesting patients and conducting auxiliary tests
5. Selecting appropriate lenses based on patient prescriptions
6. Assisting patients in choosing eyeglasses and taking measurements
7. Repairing, adjusting, and dispensing eyeglasses
8. Explaining procedures and costs to patients
9. Referring patients to other healthcare professionals as needed
10. Ensuring proper billing and credits for orders

Requirements:

1. College graduate or higher
2. Driver’s license with ability to travel occasionally to other locations
3. At least one year of experience in an optical or optometry office
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Strong interpersonal skills; friendly, caring, outgoing personality
6. Customer service experience
7. Confidence in cold calling
8. Sales-oriented with a passion for sales
9. Proficiency with computers and spreadsheets
