Our 50+ Endocrinologists, many of whom are nationally renowned for their areas of expertise, are supported by an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified professionals.

LMC Optometry & Eye Care is looking for an Optician or Optical Sales Associate who can work with us on a permanent part-time basis in our Barrie location.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting patients in person, by telephone, or online
• Booking/Scheduling appointments
• Marking recalls and cold calls to book appointments
• Pretesting patients and other auxiliary tests
• Helping patients choose eyeglasses
• Repair, adjust and dispense glasses, training provided
• Explain procedures and costs to patients
• Check-in and checkout patients in the clinic
• Merchandising and changing displays seasonally
• Helping to choose products and marketing for patient demographic
• Facilitate patient referrals to other healthcare professionals
• Ensuring the office is billed properly for orders and proper credits are issued

Requirements:

• College Graduate
• One year working in optical or optometry office preferred or optician’s license
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and caring, outgoing personality
• Customer service experience is essential
• Confidence in cold calling
• Must be proficient with computers and excel spreadsheets
• Able to follow directions and take personal responsibility for actions
• Must demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Passion for learning and dealing with people
• Able to follow through on tasks with attention to detail
• Able to multitask
