Job summary

FYidoctors - Tisdale - Healthplex seeks an Optical Associate to join our team in a part-time capacity, 20–29 hours per week. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, and the role focuses on delivering exceptional patient experiences through eyewear options, measurements, and prescription support.

You will greet patients, educate on frames, interpret prescriptions, take measurements, manage appointments, and assist with billing.

• Previous optical or retail experience is an asset.

• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our FYidoctors - Tisdale - Healthplexclinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as an Optical Associate to fill an existing vacancy!

In this role, you’ll enhance the lives of our patients every single day, delivering exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a dynamic, rewarding, and collaborative environment.

This position is a part-time role working 20-29 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email
• Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance
• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist
• Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments
• Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties
• Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required
