Summary

We are currently seeking detail-oriented HVAC Field Technicians for construction installation, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC systems. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life, including performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. Key Responsibilities

1. Understanding of new installations of HVAC and Refrigeration systems
2. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
3. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training
4. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
5. Adhering to service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements
6. Assisting with customer inquiries

Desired Skills & Experience

• Valid driver’s license
• Good standing with the Ontario College of Trades
• Certifications such as WAH, H&S Awareness, Scissor Lift, G1, 313A, ODP are preferred
• 5+ years of experience as a commercial HVAC Service technician, with a willingness to continue education in HVAC, including heating and cooling
• Experience with refrigeration piping/construction and service (maintenance & break-fix troubleshooting) is preferred
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and boiler systems
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans
• Ability to work in confined spaces; certification in confined space work is preferred
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously
• Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with clients and translate technical terms into layman's language
