Job summary

Vision Group's LASIK MD division in Surrey, BC is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician (Optician or Science Graduate) to join a dynamic ophthalmology team. You will perform preoperative and postoperative measurements, discuss results with patients, review imaging maps for accuracy, and support patient care with excellent service.

Ideal candidates are graduates of a science BS, Opticianry training, or COT/COMT certification, comfortable with computers and EMR systems, and eager to grow with Canada's

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a science field or equivalent.
• Opticianry program is acceptable without license.
• COT or COMT certification preferred.
• Experience in eye-care environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative and postoperative measurements and explain results to patients.
• Review imaging maps and validate their accuracy.
• Be knowledgeable about procedures and technologies used in the clinic.
• Provide outstanding customer service and patient care.
• Support the Risk Management program by reporting patient safety concerns.
