R360 Canada is seeking an Operator for Spirit River TRD, located 12.5 km south of Spirit River, AB. The role involves 12‑hour shifts on a 7 on/7 off rotation, with both day and night schedules.

You will be responsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion handling, boiler operations, and routine plant checks, ensuring safety and compliance. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, safety tickets, and boiler/pumps/loader training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in industrial waste processing or related fields is a plus.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, days and nights, 7 days on/7 days off.

Responsibilities

• Plant safety and adherence to SOPs and safety work procedures.
• Unloading trucks and handling oil emulsion, water and vac trucks.
• Operating oil treatment equipment and related systems.
• Maintaining equipment and performing preventative maintenance.
• Participating in waste processing and solids handling.
• Managing water injection, filter changes and pump maintenance.
• Conducting boiler operations and steam system checks.
• Carrying out daily/weekly/monthly plant checks.

We are currently looking for an Operator at our Spirit River TRD approximately 12.5km south of Spirit River, or about 65km north of Grande Prairie. This position will be shift work, working 7 days on, 7 days off consisting of 12 hour shifts. These rotations include dayshifts and nightshifts, hours being 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am. This position does not provide camp/accommodations or transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plant safety (i.e. ensuring that each operation is following Standard Operating Procedures and safety work procedures, SWP permitting, Hazard Assessments and Intelex items are entered in a timely manner)
• Responsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion, water & vac trucks (paper trail)
• Responsible for oil treating with the treater, cooler or tank treating
• Responsible for proper equipment operation and preventative maintenance
• Participating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker & centrifuge operations and solids treating
• Managing ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenance
• Conducting boiler operations, testing and steam system operations
• Conducting daily, weekly and monthly plant checks
• Performing general cleaning duties throughout the day

What We Need From You

• A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent
• A valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of pre-employment testing (drug & alcohol)
• Special training in boiler, treater, shaker/centrifuge, pumps (all) and loader will be considered
• Yellow iron training (loader, rock truck, skid steer, tractor)
• Valid and current safety tickets
• A strong attention to detail, communication skills and a profound ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
• A proven ability to work well under a frequent amount of supervision
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements
