Job description

Voyago is hiring an Operations Supervisor for our York Location!

Your role:
  1. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all Student Transportation-related operations in assigned areas.
  2. Primarily focusing on internal logistics and coordinating operations between the Schools division and other operations support teams.
  3. This individual will work closely with Human Resources and Maintenance to support operations while managing the individuals within the operation.
  4. Help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus.
  5. Directs the activities of staff, ensuring that drivers meet the standards set out in various Student Transportation contracts and that business activities continue during staff vacation/sick leaves.
  6. Monitors staff performance through site visits, incident/collision reports, and follow-ups, providing annual performance review input and resolving issues.
  7. Coordinates with Health & Safety to arrange training.
  8. Reviews KPIs with drivers and reports back to the Operations Manager.
  9. Available on-call for divisional emergencies, including holidays and weekends.
  10. Maintains work schedules and ensures coverage at all times.
  11. Serves as a key contact supporting teams such as maintenance, HR, and health and safety.
  12. Covers school runs when required.
  13. Oversees the completion of monthly ghosting and deficiency reports.
  14. Maintains paperwork and timesheets, overseeing all related processes.
  15. Ensures timely and accurate payroll entry.
  16. Acts as a contact for staff and assists in employee engagement and meetings.
  17. Coordinates driver onboarding and orientation for new hires.
  18. Monitors employee license upgrades from start to finish.
Requirements
Your profile
  • You are safety focused.
  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record.
  • You have a valid "B" license (preferred).
  • You can obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening.
  • You have a sound knowledge of York Region and surrounding areas.
  • You can work independently.
  • You possess solid communication skills.
  • You have post-secondary education or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of York Region.
  • You are proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • You have excellent customer service skills.
  • Student Transportation experience is an asset.
