Waste Connections of Canada is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the City of Hamilton Transfer Stations, overseeing daily operations and safety, ensuring compliance with EH&S programs and regulatory requirements.
You will supervise AZ Drivers and Equipment Operators, plan schedules, recruit and train staff, investigate incidents, and drive performance against safety, service and financial targets. This is a 12-month contract with potential for permanent employment.

As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical leadership role within our Transfer Station business units, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the safe and efficient performance of Transfer Station Employees. Your responsibilities will include employee observations, leading monthly safety meetings, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring that safety, compliance, customer service, growth, sales, and financial targets are consistently met. Strong leadership, ethical decision-making, and professionalism are essential to success in this role. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of permanent employment.
Day Shift Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturdays on-site (every 3rd Saturday) as well as Tuesday to Saturday when a holiday occurs in the week.
