Job description

This is an interview position plus CEV.

This frontline supervisor role supports the FedEx Express (FXE) Safety Above All Culture. It manages daily sort operations and Cargo Handlers (CH) staff within a station. The supervisor leads employees in proper package handling, routing, and recovery of potential service failures within the station sort function. Oversight includes directing work activities, mentoring, coaching, training, and ensuring compliance with FXE policies, procedures, and government regulations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• College degree
• 2 years of FedEx sort operations or senior level hourly role experience OR 2 years supervisory experience in a related industry
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Preferred: EXCEL Leadership Development Stream
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment
• Ability to complete all training, including DG certification
• Mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing skills
• Leadership qualities to inspire and motivate teams
• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
• Focus on process simplification and quality assurance
• Accountability and quick problem-solving abilities

Additional Details:

• This is a PM shift position, scheduled Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Shift may change based on operational needs. Job end date: June 30, 2025.
