What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Management team located in Burlington is looking for a Branch Operations Supervisor to join their team! The Branch Operations Supervisor provides supervision over the Branch Operations, including an increased level of responsibility in oversight for internal controls with the Branch Management team. High level on involvement in audit and implementation of regulatory policy and procedural rules and regulations.

This role will also work closely with the branch management team and the branch advisors teams to support technology related needs. These support needs will likely include fixing issues, installation or replacement of technology, hardware and applications.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for oversight and processing of all branch cash transactions, including cheques, Bankwires and for processing physical securities
  • Ensure Branch and Cage reports are prepared, printed, reviewed (where assigned), distributed and/or presented to Branch Management for review. May review/sign off on some reports prior to submitting to the BM team for final sign off
  • Ensure the Branch Operations team executes the filing for all branch operations related reports and documents, oversee branch retention of documents in accordance with internal controls
  • Oversight of account opening approvals, this includes reviewing documentation, spotting errors, coaching branch staff on proper procedures

  • Assisting with participation in Branch Support Staff meetings to review and educate on Branch Operations updates, common errors and best practices
  • System Access: Manage & coordinate system access requests (new, change, remove), new employee onboarding, complete yearly control and application risk audit attestations
  • Proactive communication with branch staff to assess any support, including walking around to speak with branch staff in person. Participate in monthly technology conference calls and quarterly operation/admin meetings, sharing ideas and providing feedback
