Job summary

Brookdale Treeland Nurseries Limited in Ontario seeks a Farm Supervisor to coordinate and supervise farm workers, machinery operators, and general labourers across production cycles.

You will oversee crop production, packaging, shipping, and receiving, and maintain records while enforcing safety, quality, and biosecurity standards. Strong organizational skills and experience with Excel and SAP are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating farm workers and machinery operators.
• Knowledge of crop production and packing/shipping processes.
• Familiarity with farm and food-safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of farm workers, farm machinery operators, and general labourers.
• Supervise crop production activities to ensure products are ready for packaging and distribution.
• Supervise product grading, packaging, shipping, and receiving operations.
• Monitor production and enforce quality, efficiency, and productivity standards.
• Supervise maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, storage areas, and supplies.
• Develop work schedules and establish operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with farm safety, food safety, security, and biosecurity procedures.
• Maintain quality control, inventory, and production records.
• Perform general farm duties as required.
• Operate and maintain digital technologies and equipment.
• Ensure staff are educated on the use of tools and equipment with Industry or BTN training programs.
• Proficiency in Excel (Intermediate).
• Proficiency with other computer software (Microsoft Word, SAP, etc.).
• Operate warehouse and farm equipment including forklifts, tractors, loaders and farm implements.
• Speak and comprehend Spanish is an asset.
