Job summary

SECURE invites applications for an Operations Supervisor south of Grande Prairie, AB. This full-time role leads daily facility operations, coaches operators, and ensures safe, compliant performance aligned with the company’s vision.

You will drive training, SOPs, and performance reviews while collaborating with Area Managers to implement best practices and achieve KPIs.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or GED education.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in waste processing, oil treating and/or water injection, landfill operations, or related industry experience.
• Valid industry safety tickets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to provide effective leadership and guidance to staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prepare technical reports.
• Proficient with company applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OSI PI, Power BI, MOC, Sharepoint, Certify, Open Invoice, UltiPro, iTRAK and Solver).

Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day activities of operations and the operations staff.
• A people leader who leads in alignment with SECURE’s values and expectations including setting clear expectations, managing operators’ performance, and providing feedback to build high-performance teams.
• Completing progressions and performance reviews with the operators.
• Accessible and available to the operators to assist with afterhours issues.
• Fostering an environment that promotes the Vision and Culture of the organization.
• Leading the safety culture, specifically aiding in the development and delivery of programs and initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with safety practices and procedures.
• Ensuring consistent, cost-effective, and technically sound operations.
• Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring that they are being upheld through training, coaching and leadership oversight.
• Ensuring compliance with all government and environmental regulatory standards.
• Ensuring excellent customer service standards.
• Evaluating Key Performance Indicators to achieve targets and determine required actions for improvement.
• Collaborating with other Operations Leaders (Area Managers, General Managers) and Support teams to share and implement best practices.
• Plays a critical role in supporting the Area Manager including taking on delegation duties from Area Manager when applicable and collaborating with support groups

Your Opportunity at SECURE

The Operations Supervisor plays an integral role in leading the safe and effective day-to-day operations of the Facility. The Operations Supervisor is a people leader who sets the culture and is responsible for leading the operators in a healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible manner that is aligned with the corporate vision, mission, and values. The Operations Supervisor has strong technical knowledge of the Facility and is responsible for the oversight of training, supervising, and coaching the Operators at site. The Operations Supervisor monitors the overall daily effectiveness of the Facility and ensures compliance with company procedures and practices. The Operations Supervisor maintains strong communication with the Area Manager to ensure alignment, operational excellence, and that critical information is being cascaded.

This position is located south of Grande Prairie, AB.

Work Environment

The role of Operations Supervisor is structured as a full-time position, working 5 days a week, 40 hours.
