Your Opportunity:
You will be responsible for overseeing 20+ Primary and Advanced Care Paramedics reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor. The successful applicant may also oversee additional positions on a situational basis, such as at hospitals, during events, or major incidents. You will manage the individual sites' operational budgets, including supplies and staffing models, and provide input on future budget needs. The role involves significant communication responsibilities, serving as a key conduit for strategic plans. In addition to a competitive salary, AHS offers a Remote Retention Allowance up to $3,000 annually, payable hourly for hours worked at the basic rate of pay.

The Operations Supervisor plays a leadership role within Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Reporting directly to the EMS Manager, this position is responsible for directing and organizing EMS activities to support Alberta Health Services' vision, mission, and business plan. The role involves making frontline operational decisions and leading EMS teams to achieve organizational goals. Developing strong relationships with stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, first responders, fire rescue, and police is essential.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized Paramedic program, registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics
- Valid Alberta Class 4 Operators License with no more than 6 demerits
- ICS 100 certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in emergency services
- At least 2 years’ progressive leadership experience in a large, complex organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in healthcare administration, business, or leadership
- Strong communication, organizational, and influencing skills
- Client-focused with a commitment to quality emergency services
- Ability to manage human, financial, and physical resources
- Experience fostering partnerships and achieving organizational goals, preferably in a unionized environment
- Skills in conflict and crisis management.
