We are looking for an Operations Supervisor at #106-8255 North Fraser Way, Burnaby, BC V3N 0B9, CAN. Your mission will be to:
The incumbent is responsible for analyzing food samples and supervising departmental personnel conducting routine analysis.
Knowledge: Basic microbiology knowledge for testing accuracy.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree. Broad knowledge of microbiology or chemistry is required for data analysis and interpretation. Knowledge of food science is necessary for supervising sample analysis.
Skills: Understanding of laboratory safety procedures and policies, and familiarity with LIMS for processing data and results.
Laboratory setting with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasionally exposed to fumes, chemicals, and materials. Use of safety equipment may be required. Daily use of autoclave and lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Extended standing and color variation detection are expected.
The pay range is $70,000-$80,000 CAD annually.
