Position Overview

The Production Supervisor directly oversees employees at our food manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, production schedules, and product quality are met. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills to instruct employees on manufacturing processes, motivate performance, implement continuous improvements, and collaborate across teams.

Compensation and Shift Details

Hourly Rate: $25.17

Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, with flexibility to train on day shift 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Production Manager
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams
• Work cohesively with other Supervisors to achieve daily KPIs
• Promote open communication and support food safety and workplace safety culture
• Communicate safety, food safety, and quality messages via shift huddles and meetings
• Enforce GMPs and plant rules, monitor GMP compliance
• Provide orientation and training to new employees, oversee formal training, and sign off on completion
• Review performance, provide coaching, and initiate disciplinary actions when necessary
• Ensure ongoing training on SOPs and WI’s for safety and quality
• Address unsafe conditions, conduct incident investigations, and develop corrective actions
• Participate in JHSC initiatives and adhere to health and safety policies
• Manage attendance, absences, and leaves of production associates
• Manage production logistics, troubleshoot unplanned breakdowns, and ensure efficient processes
• Verify production activities and complete all necessary paperwork
• Assist QA in evaluating product quality and investigating non-conformances
• Oversee sanitation and housekeeping in production and warehouse areas
• Report safety and food safety hazards
• Communicate material and supply needs
• Implement and monitor continuous improvement activities
• (Optional) Provide first aid if trained
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment
• Reasonable mechanical aptitude
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including day and night shifts, and weekends
