Job summary

Central Ontario FS, a division of GROWMARK, Inc., is seeking an Exploring Agriculture Internship to gain hands-on experience in the agricultural business, focusing on customer service and operations. You will engage with logistics, inventory management, and client interactions while developing essential professional skills.

Applicants must be enrolled in a related college or university program and able to travel to the U.S. for a conference, with a valid G driver's license and passport.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a related college or university program.
• Must have a valid G driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel to the United States.
• Attendance at the Exploring Agriculture Conference in Bloomington, IL is required.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business.
• Learn how products move through the supply chain, from order processing to delivery.
• Support documentation, invoicing, and inventory reconciliation.
• Develop customer service and communication skills with customers and team members.
• Build proficiency in office systems, data entry, and file maintenance.
• Expand knowledge of fertilizers, crop protection products, seed products, and grain operations.
• Gain experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
• Participate in all Exploring Agriculture Internship Program activities and networking.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Gain hands‑on experience across multiple areas of the business, building foundational skills for a future career in agribusiness.
• Learn how products move through the supply chain, from order processing to delivery, while supporting documentation, invoicing, and inventory reconciliation.
• Develop strong customer service and communication skills by working with customers and team members to answer questions, process orders, and ensure accurate information flow.
• Build proficiency in office systems and administrative functions, including Microsoft Office, data entry, record management, reporting, and file maintenance.
• Expand your knowledge of fertilizers, crop protection products, seed products, and grain operations through exposure to daily business activities.
• Gain experience with ordering, receiving, inventory control, and product quality processes, including blending and inventory management activities.
• Participate in all Exploring Agriculture Internship Program activities and networking opportunities, including weekly reports.
• Professional Development: Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing your experience, growth, and career goals.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Must be currently enrolled in a related college or university program, and be returning to school in the Fall.
• Must have a valid G driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record.
• Must possess a valid passport and any required visas to travel to the United States and be able to travel independently.
• Mandatory attendance at the Exploring Agriculture Conference in Bloomington, IL, May 17-18, 2027 (plus possibly the day before and after, as necessary for travel.)
