Job summary

About the Job

Operations Program Engineer‑Analyst at Pratt & Whitney Canada. The role coordinates action plans, manages projects and implements strategies across multiple functions and teams, ensuring successful engine delivery and customer satisfaction.

Day‑to‑day Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and project timelines, driving collaboration and delivering projects to closure.
  • Actively participate in Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to ensure seamless transition of new models or engineering changes into production.
  • Ensure MRP scheduling, sourcing, capacity, lead time, tooling, product cost and logistics meet program objectives.
  • Identify program risks and issues, develop strategies, coordinate procurement actions and minimize excess inventory.
  • Negotiate and liaise with Marketing, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering Development (MED) and Aftermarket to align strategies and delivery dates.
  • Provide status reports to OPM manager, directors and marketing, and recommend actions.
  • Escalate issues to senior leadership for resolution.
  • Support senior leadership in communicating Operations issues with customers.
  • Implement sourcing and state‑of‑the‑art programs, evaluate alternative opportunities with business cases.
  • Establish tooling strategies, create business cases and manage engineering and start‑up budgets.
  • Coordinate Operations units in support of OEM upgrade programs, short ships, returns, campaigns, etc.
  • Produce production estimates and evaluations to support marketing inquiries.
  • Engage directly with OEMs to answer engine production and delivery queries, provide clear plans, solutions and expectations.
  • Review and manage impacts of engineering changes and non‑conformities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Operations Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in an operations or supply‑chain unit at Pratt & Whitney Canada is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SAP and PLM systems.
  • Strong problem‑solving, clear communication, and project‑management skills.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Fluency in French is required; strong written and spoken English is also necessary for daily documentation and communication with international partners.
