Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil, QC, is seeking an energetic Operations Leader for a full-time evening shift. You will oversee daily high-technology operations, coach and schedule staff, and drive KPI achievement.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and team management skills; focus on quality and service.

The position is full-time, on the evening shift, working 4 days out of 7 in Longueuil, and is fully on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Oversee daily operations in a high-technology environment;
• Be responsible for training, scheduling, task assignments, and performance evaluations;
• Engage and motivate the team to achieve an optimal level of engagement, in line with the company’s standards and expectations;
• Be responsible for achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), including health and safety, quality, delivery deadlines, productivity, etc.;
• Contribute to budget development and management, as well as the recruitment process;
• Oversee and coordinate shift changes;
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders;
• Actively contribute to the implementation of projects by incorporating employee participation;
• Support and facilitate organizational change initiatives;
• Organize and participate in meetings with other managers.

What do you need to be successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Aeronautics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
• 3 years of management experience, ideally in the aerospace or manufacturing industry;
• Comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment with tight deadlines;
• Demonstrated leadership and proven team management skills;
• Strong focus on quality and service excellence in a demanding environment;
• Ability to work independently under pressure;
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand some specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may come from international organizations.
