Job summary

Beyond Energy Services and Technology is seeking an MPD Field Operator to provide field service installation and operation of MPD equipment and technical support to clients on field locations. You will install, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot MPD systems, ensuring safe, compliant operation and thorough documentation.

Role requires coordinating with field crews and supervisors, performing on-site equipment rigging, and maintaining alignment with project parameters and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in oilfield operations and MPD is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication with field and office teams.
• Self-directed with sound decision-making.

Responsibilities

In the role of MPD Field Operator, you will be responsible for providing field service installation and operation of MPD equipment and technical support to Beyond Energy's clients on field locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Beyond Energy's MPD equipment on client field locations.
• Monitoring the day-to-day well drilling operations.
• Able to rig up and operate all MPD equipment on-site and at shop facilities when required.
• Liaising between the field crew, MPD Field Supervisor, and MPD Lead Engineer to ensure efficient operation and operating procedures are appropriately conducted.
• Ensure the operation parameters of the MPD program are followed at all times.
• Completion of all site-specific and safety-related paperwork according to company policy.

Qualifications

• Prefer 3 - 5 years of oilfield experience, with at least two years specifically in MPD.
• Post secondary education in Petroleum Engineering or related field would be an asset.
• Advanced understanding of mechanics and hydraulics.
• Basic understanding of electronics.
• Familiar with drilling issues related to drilling - velocity to clean a well.
• Knowledge of slinging and lifting overhead loads.
• Understand Process and Information Diagrams and Flow Systems.
• Familiar with regulatory code and safety policy.
• Competent with Microsoft Office products.
• Self-directed and demonstrates sound decision-making.
• Excellent written and oral skills - must communicate with technical and non-technical personnel at field and office levels.
