Job Position Overview:

The Operations Manager / Senior Engineer will support operations by leading and supporting a wide range of Civil Engineering consulting projects and initiatives. The role will also involve engaging with Indigenous communities throughout Ontario.

Responsibilities of Operations Manager / Senior Engineer:

• Experience in civil, structural, or electrical engineering, construction, and telecommunications industry.
• Progressive experience in a Consulting Engineering field serving various sectors.
• Interact with internal/external contacts as necessary for design details.
• Knowledge of permitting processes (highway, railroad, city, county, etc.) is highly desired.
• Collect, interpret, and organize project engineering and vendor data.
• Interface with senior personnel to resolve technical and project issues.
• Assist in compiling and maintaining internal engineering standards and work practices.
• Coordinate with other business units to verify project design requirements and delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering.
• Minimum of five years of related experience in a similar or related position.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of Hydro One Distribution Standards is a plus.
