Job description

Manager of Operations: Modular Construction

Location: Reinfeld, Manitoba (Winkler)
Company: Arctic Modular Homes Factory Corp.
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 base, based on experience

What we do

At Arctic Modular Homes, we manufacture prefabricated housing for remote and restricted access locations. Based in Reinfeld, Manitoba, our 16,000 sq. ft. facility produces 37,000 sq. ft. of modular structures annually, with a clear trajectory to scale production up to 50,000 sq. ft.

We are an innovated modular factory, embracing technology in construction and building materials. Our work is defined by solving the complex intersection of climate, local capacity, and extreme logistics; winter roads, specialized trucking, and seasonal barges.
Every project we undertake informs how we design and manufacture more efficiently. With more than five decades of combined Arctic expertise, our team is leading the charge in sustainable, resilient northern housing and rapidly expanding our footprint across Canada.

The role

We are looking for an operational leader to guide an already established, high-performing modular factory line. We need someone who will refine our existing process, address operational gaps, and responsibly steer our growth.

We value leadership rooted in mentorship, mutual respect, and high standards. You will focus on developing frontline team members and earning trust across all levels of the organization. We are seeking a mission-driven leader genuinely invested in our company's future and impact.

This role is ideal for a manufacturing operations veteran or a Senior Construction Superintendent ready to transition into full operational leadership. Reporting to senior leadership, this position is structured to evolve into a senior executive role as we scale.

What you’ll manage
  • All factory operations across framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and finishing
  • A team of 30+ tradespeople, including supervisors and foremen
  • Production targets, schedule adherence, and quality standards
  • Safety culture and regulatory compliance across the facility
  • Coordination with project management, design, and procurement
  • Continuous improvement: lean workflows, throughput, resolving bottlenecks
  • Accountability for labour productivity, cost, and output
  • Inventory control and tracking
  • Oversight of factory operations and maintenance
What you bring
  • 10+ years in construction or manufacturing, with significant time as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent, or Operations Manager.
  • A track record running complex residential or multi-unit builds
  • Experience leading crews of 30+
  • The ability to coordinate multiple trades running in parallel
  • Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification (preferred)
  • Strong command of scheduling, sequencing, and trade coordination
  • Modular or prefabrication experience is useful but not required.

This might be your next move if

We are seeking a leader who wants to step away from the cyclical nature of site work and take ownership of a continuous production environment. In this role, you will be fully accountable for facility performance, operational processes, and team development rather than just project closeouts.

Why join us?
  • Stability: Shift from project-to-project field work to a permanent operational seat.
  • Leadership: Focus on mentoring a consistent team and scaling quality standards.
  • Purpose: Manufacture critical housing infrastructure that directly resolves severe shortages in remote communities.
Eligibility
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Why AMH

Trade the travel and volatility of field work for full operational ownership in a controlled, indoor facility. This role eliminates the typical post- project downtime, providing you with a predictable schedule and long-term professional stability.
As an operational leader, you will guide a dedicated team in a scalable facility, delivering high-impact housing solutions to Canada's North. We are looking for an ambitious leader; this role is specifically designed to evolve, offering a clear trajectory into senior executive leadership as our operations expand.
