Operations Manager – CAD 120,000 – CAD 130,000 + Benefits – Ontario, CA

The Role

Are you an experienced manufacturing leader with a hands-on approach to tool and die making? Do you have a passion for driving efficiency and quality in a fast-paced, high-volume environment?

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as an Operations Manager in our manufacturing plant. If you have strong leadership skills and technical expertise in tool and die making, metal stamping, and maintenance operations, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of production, maintenance, and tool room operations to ensure optimal performance. Your focus will be on managing day-to-day activities, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety

  • Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Promote a safety-first culture on the shop floor.
  • Implement 6S principles and support ISO 14001 environmental goals.

Production Oversight

  • Manage daily operations to ensure smooth production and maintenance processes.
  • Monitor labor, equipment, and material use to meet production targets.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products by overseeing scheduling and logistics.
  • Track and improve KPIs, including OEE, scrap reduction, and cycle times.

Maintenance & Tool Room

  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure availability of critical replacement parts and tooling.
  • Work with engineering and tool room teams on repairs, rebuilds engineering changes and tooling trials.

Quality Performance

  • Maintain accountability for quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Support APQP processes and product launches.
  • Resolve quality issues promptly, ensuring effective communication with quality teams.

Leadership & Communication

  • Lead, train, and develop team leaders and hourly staff.
  • Foster a positive and results-oriented work environment.
  • Regularly communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Participate in production meetings and cross-functional reviews.
