We are currently looking to hire an Operations Manager reporting to the Regional Operations Manager. This position is responsible for the efficient operation of a high-volume dock within the Toronto terminal, with a strong emphasis on candidates who have previous dock leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads and inspires the dock team to achieve operational goals and KPIs
• Promotes and fosters a strong Employee Health and Safety culture
• Ensures HUB sort operations operate on time maintaining network schedule
• Processes all inbound freight handled by city P&D drivers in a timely basis
• Maintains appropriate staffing/equipment levels that are aligned with volumes and budget
• Ensures that the team reaches Weights and Inspection goals
• Provides daily accurate reporting of KPIs and activities
• Monitors and checks dock processes frequently to ensure quality and compliance
• Delivers strong effective communication to all members of the team
• Mentors, coaches and develops their team for success
• Coordinates building and yard maintenance
• Collaborates with other departments in the spirit of continuous improvement
• Complies with all Corporate policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of transportation and management experience; College or University Degree preferred
