Job Description
- Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
- Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review employee and contractor contributions.
- Estimate materials and labor; prepare proposals; utilize pricing techniques.
- Analyze sales data, profits on Excel, and prepare monthly reports.
- Understand tax calculations, WCB, and employee remittance collection.
- Forecast requirements; prepare annual budgets; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; ensure contractor compliance.
- Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, reading, networking, and professional organizations.
- Manage staff/contractor levels, wages, hours, and contracts relative to revenues.
- Oversee department managers and supervisors; review and approve operations employees and contractors.
- Ensure a safe, injury-free workplace.
- Manage relationships with key vendors and contractors.
- Review and approve operational invoices for payment.
- Serve as primary contact for customer issues related to equipment, service, or accidents on-site.
- Address customer issues with the team/contractors and improve customer experience.
- Report daily to the owner on important issues.
Communication
- Effective communication skills for diverse clients, craftsmen, and contractors.
- Ability to conduct interviews, negotiate, and liaise effectively.
- Fluent to advanced English proficiency required.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant technical certification in construction or building maintenance preferred.
- Strong numerical literacy required.
Schedule
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
Experience
- At least 2 years in repair and renovation preferred.
