Operations Manager – High-Rise Construction

Presented by MatchBox Consulting Group

Take your place at the table.

We’re working with one of Vancouver’s most respected general contractors to find a senior Operations Manager to oversee project management operations across a substantial pipeline of high-rise residential and mixed-use developments.

This isn’t a middle-management role—it’s a strategic leadership position designed for someone who can lead teams, streamline systems, and deliver results across some of the most significant urban projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Project Delivery at Scale: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Project Management division, ensuring alignment across multiple tower projects. From planning through closeout, you’ll be the operational anchor for delivery excellence.
  2. Drive Standardization and Operational Efficiency: Establish and refine consistent processes across all projects—from reporting systems and schedules to communication frameworks and workflows. You’ll ensure project teams are working smarter, not harder.
  3. Support and Develop Project Teams: Be the go-to for Project Managers, Coordinators, and Site leadership. Your role includes mentoring talent, troubleshooting challenges, and making sure teams have what they need to succeed.
  4. Own Risk, Budget, and Schedule Oversight: Oversee the critical pillars of delivery—schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder coordination. Your ability to foresee issues and correct course early will be essential.
  5. Partner with Senior Leadership: Work directly with executive leadership and ownership groups, contributing to strategic planning and execution of the company’s major builds.
What You Bring
  • Deep experience delivering high-rise residential or mixed-use buildings —you’ve seen these projects through from start to finish.
  • Strong operational instincts, a strategic mindset, and a hands-on leadership style.
  • Experience leading multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • The communication skills and presence to work with executives, consultants, and clients.
Why Join This Team?
  • You’ll lead some of Vancouver’s most impactful builds.
  • You’ll have a real voice in the company’s future, not just your department’s.
  • You’ll join a builder with a strong culture, deep roots, and long-term growth ahead.
  • Competitive salary, leadership-level benefits, and long-term runway.
