IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is assisting a growing custom metal fabrication company in Edmonton, seeking an Operations Manager who will lead day‑to‑day manufacturing and actively develop into the future General Manager.

The role emphasizes production scheduling, lean improvements, and building scalable systems. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership, capable of balancing shop floor realities with strategic, financial and organizational

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with leadership responsibility.
Experience in metal fabrication or high‑mix, engineered‑to‑order environments.
Strong ability to lead, coach and develop people across production teams.
Experience with implementing, upgrading or improving manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

Lead day‑to‑day manufacturing performance, including production scheduling and shop floor execution.
Strengthen systems, visibility and processes to improve throughput and capacity.
Partner with ownership, engineering/design and finance to align operations with strategic goals.
Drive Lean, continuous improvement and KPI development to standardize practices and improve quality and safety.
Develop leadership within the organization to enable succession toward General Manager.
