SHOEMAKER DRYWALL SUPPLIES in Edmonton is seeking a Delivery Helper to assist with safe transportation of building materials and their placement at customer sites. You will work with the team to exceed customer expectations and support warehouse staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the assigned area with safety in mind.
• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers and trades on job sites.
• Ensure materials are delivered to customer satisfaction with safety and efficiency.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and help resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Report any accidents or injuries and verify load security.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of Delivery Helper. The Delivery Helper assists with the safe transportation of building materials and the placement on customer job sites. Together with other team members, the Helper works to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and other trades on job sites.
• Deliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Report all accidents or injuries.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
• Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Requirements

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract is an asset.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.
• Completion of high school preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
• Sitting for long periods.
• Frequently climbing up and downstairs.
• Pulling, pushing, bending, and torso twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.
