Job summary

LEESTA Industries Ltd. is seeking a dedicated delivery driver to join our supply chain team in Pointe-Claire, Canada. This position involves ensuring safe and timely transportation of materials and products, operating a forklift, and maintaining records related to deliveries.

Qualifications

Job description

We are currently looking for a delivery driver to join our supply chain team!

Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, the delivery driver is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely pickup and delivery of materials and products while supporting shipping, receiving, and material handling activities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform pickups and deliveries of materials, products, and customer orders according to established priorities and schedules;
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload goods safely in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations;
  • Receive incoming goods, verify compliance, and distribute them to the appropriate departments or storage locations;
  • Prepare, package, verify, and ship customer orders in accordance with quality and transportation requirements;
  • Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently;
  • Ensure the accuracy of transportation, receiving, and shipping documentation, and report any discrepancies or irregularities;
  • Perform transactions and maintain records related to deliveries, receipts, shipments, and inventory movements;
  • Maintain the cleanliness, basic upkeep, and safe operation of the delivery vehicle and assigned equipment;
  • Collaborate with supply chain team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Job qualifications
  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role involving delivery, transportation, material handling, or shipping/receiving activities;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with an excellent driving record;
  • Forklift operator certification is an asset;
  • Basic computer and data entry skills;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Good communication and customer service skills;
