Job summary

Air Inuit is seeking an Operations Coordinator – YUL Airport to join our Montreal base. You will support ground handling operations, coordinate daily ramp activities, and assist Duty Managers to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration, accurate load planning, and adherence to Transport Canada regulations while upholding Air Inuit’s culture of safety and service.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years in aviation ground handling or airport operations.
  • Experience in Ramp operations.
  • Knowledge of aircraft loading procedures and weight and balance.
  • Ability to interpret load sheets and operational documentation.
  • Bilingual French and English; Inuktitut is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily airport ramp operations to support safe and efficient aircraft handling.
  • Monitor flight schedules and assist with aircraft turnaround planning.
  • Provide loading instructions in accordance with aircraft limitations and procedures.
  • Prepare weight and balance calculations to ensure safe aircraft dispatch.
  • Communicate load plans clearly to ramp personnel and Duty Managers.
  • Ensure proper allocation of personnel and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
  • Maintain continuous communication with Duty Managers, flight crews, cargo teams, and internal departments.
  • Monitor operational performance and report irregularities, delays, or safety concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations, airport policies, and the company SMS.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Air Inuit is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated professional to support ground operations in its Montreal bases. As Operations Coordinator – YUL Airport, you will be part of a welcoming and dynamic team. You will help promote Air Inuit’s rich culture while supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality ground handling operations in a fast-paced and operationally focused environment.


This role plays a key part in coordinating daily aircraft handling activities, supporting Duty Managers, and ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance in support of Air Inuit’s mission


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Coordinate daily Airport ramp operations to support safe and efficient aircraft handling.

  • Monitor flight schedules and assist with aircraft turnaround planning.

  • Provide loading instructions in accordance with aircraft limitations and company procedures.

  • Prepare and/or support weight and balance calculations to ensure safe aircraft dispatch.

  • Communicate load plans clearly to ramp personnel and Duty Managers.

  • Ensure proper allocation of personnel and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

  • Maintain continuous communication with Duty Managers, flight crews, cargo teams, and internal departments, when required.

  • Monitor operational performance and report irregularities, delays, or safety concerns.

  • Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations, airport policies, and the company Safety Management System (SMS).


QUALIFICATIONS


  • 2–5 years of experience in aviation ground handling or airport operations.

  • Experience in Ramp operations required.

  • Knowledge of aircraft loading procedures and weight and balance principles.

  • Ability to interpret load sheets and operational documentation.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision‑making skills.

  • Maintain valid RAIC and AVOP

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced airport environment.

  • Bilingual (French and English); knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset


WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Variable shifts (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, split shifts) and according to operational needs

  • 37.5 hour work week

The salary is determined according to the company’s compensation policy.
